iPad OS 3.2.1 fix some things, but kills Spirit Jailbreak

Apple has rolled much awaited iOS 4.0.1 update for iPhone and iPod Touch. It has come along with iOS 3.2.1 for iPad. iOS 3.2.1 for iPad has solved some Wi-Fi issues for iPad as promised. Apple has also introduced some other improvements

iPad 3 2 1 Jailbreak Jailbreak iPad iOS 3.2.1which are

- Improved Wi-Fi connectivity
- Fixed an issue that could prevent copy and paste of single-page PDF attachments in Mail
- Addressed an issue that could cause video playback to freeze
- Improved reliability of video-out when using iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter
- Added Bing as an option for Safari's search field

Previously, iPad 3.2 firmware was jailbroken using Spirit but Apple has patched this exploit in iOS 3.2.1 for iPad. Therefore, you should not upgrade to iPad 3.2.1 firmware and wait till any solution to jailbreak iPad 3.2.1 arrives. The Developers has confirmed that Apple has patched Spirit Jailbreak in iPad 3.2.1. We are eagerly waiting for any Developments regarding jailbreak iPad 3.2.1.

Probably, upcoming Spirit Jailbreak 4.0.1 will again jailbreak iPad 3.2.1 on Windows and MAC.

Jailbreak iPad 3.2.1 with Spirit [Soon]

Of course I didn't get the word before I upgraded and now I have to live with a crippled no multitasking iPad until the Jailbreaking community can fit this.

I checked the other day and nothing was said about 3.2.1 breaking the jailbreak, I didn't check again before I upgraded to 3.2.1 today.

After the upgrade I discovered that Cydia and all the jailbreak apps were gone. No more multitasking or quick access to dim the screen. Rats!

If you have a jailbroken iPad Do NOT upgrade to 3.2.1 or you will lose the jailbreak functionality.

I hope they come out with a fix soon!

Thanks,

Carl W. Brooks
